We are very happy to have James Richards from the University of Missouri St. Louis as our clinician for the
Metro 8 Honors Orchestra this year and look forward to what the students will be inspired to create with him.

6570). I will do my best to answer your questions! Below, I have included some of the important points about
this year’s audition process. HOWEVER, in order to get the entirety of the audition information, schedules,
and audition material, you will need to download the two files below. Please make sure you carefully
examine the requirements, expectations, and audition materials so that you and your students are adequately
prepared for the audition day!

• Auditions will be held on October 8th, 2011. Rehearsals will follow
on October 18, November 1 and 8, and the concert will be held on November 11. Please consult the
attendance policy and full schedule for times and
locations.
• There will be NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION THIS YEAR. All
students must be pre-registered by October 1st, 2011. A Music Director or other building representative
MUST BE PRESENT at the auditions and all rehearsals.
