| Congratulations to those selected to the St. Louis Metro District 8 High School Concert Band. Dr. Matthew Frederickson will be our clinician. Results are listed below. Concert Band Personnel 2011 Tuesday, November 8 is the first rehearsal for the District Honor Bands from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. We are fortunate this year to use the facilities at Chaminade High Scool. Because this is a new venue, I would encourage you to try to arrive a little early to find the space so we may begin rehearsal on time. From I-270, take I-64/Highway 40 to the Lindbergh exit. Head north on Lindbergh. Take the ramp marked for Chaminade Dr. Cross Lindbergh and enter the Chaminade campus. The Skip Viragh Center for the Arts will be on your left. By now you should have received music to give to your students who made the ensemble. Remind them to bring this with them along with a pencil to Tuesday's rehearsal. Encourage them to start practicing the material before Tuesday evening. All students who made the band and the alternates are eligible to audition on those instruments at State band auditions on Saturday, Dec. 3. They need to be registered by Nov. 22.
